They are a revelation of who the men are who made the journey and they say as much about those men as they do about their journey. Let's start with what this book is not. The definitive work!. They obviously have a keen eye for layout and presentation which helps the reader immerse themselves into the book and really feel part of the history and stories along the way.
The book provides a great balance of detailed information on key areas and flows extremely well which is extremely hard to achieve with such a huge subject to cover. Chris and Rachelle have done an exceptional job of capturing the essence of what transatlantic travel was all about and how it has developed over time to what we have today. This book makes me appreciate the men who made the journey, some of whom are reticent yet they contribute. It is not the complete story of the Apollo moon missions; there are lots of history and technology books for that. I have enjoyed Carolyn Ellis' work for some years. I hav
