Thankfully, the recollections by family and friends are edited into the layout without making the entire book seem like a posthumous testimonial dinner.
Granted this Disney Editions publication doesn't come without its ulterior motives. He does skip from time to time, person to person, sport to sport, crime to crime and I was rarely confident about what I was reading. "Insect Poetics" is a brilliant approach to ecocriticism as it applies to that most othered of creatures, the insect. From his sending spies to Galilee, to his walking behind Christ on the way to Golgotha, to his personal witness of the crucifixion, this Pilate's actions just don't jive with those of the man history tells us he was. After falsely accusing a high school boyfriend of a crime, when she really just couldn't tell her father the truth, this caused people to question her from that moment on. The authors invested thousands of hours creating this well written and profusely illustrated account. Now the heroes
