Though well written stylistically, it's horribly researched. Very interesting and well written. Great resource for theologian - practitioners and laymen who are thinking and theologizing.. I felt that the narrative was both inaccurate and semantically anachronistic. Despite the fact that other viewpoints are, and should be, always welcome, I find myself returning to MacDonald's books for helping me reach a more solid understanding.

I would like to conclude with a message to the publishers: the layout and print for the Beginning book is excellent, if the heavy content is borne in mind. Anyone who doesn't have a political ax to grind should give these ideas a fair hearing. The author of 'A Man on the Moon' has been able to get the men who have a marvelous story to tell,to express their stories like few have been able to accomplish,including their own admitted difficulty in telling the rest of us 'what it was like'.This book demonstrates quite well how one can get a person to o
