I'm not sure why you didn't mention his brother, who by standards of the day, did everything right. When one member of the assembled mob calling for crucifixion yells out "May his blood be on us, and on our children!" Pilate muses that "[I]f Christianity should somehow endure, I am afraid that shout may result in grief for a lot of Jews." Prophecy, as well as concern. It was not the "JFK assassination" like event that was burned into everyone's mind. They obviously have a keen eye for layout and presentation which helps the reader immerse themselves into the book and really feel part of the history and stories along the way.
The book provides a great balance of detailed information on key areas and flows extremely well which is extremely hard to achieve with such a huge subject to cover. Donaldson identifies the key behaviors that most people want, and gives excellent "recipes" on how to get those behaviors on cue using the lure-reward method. These are stories that will be
